You Give Hope to Animals In Need
Athena was tied up outside with no time off her lead. At some point the line got wrapped around her leg so long that the circulation was cut off. Her owners didn’t even notice and eventually the leg fell off. Still no one did anything. How could this happen? Poor Athena, the pain she must have felt, all the while nursing her young puppies with a bloody stump for a back leg.
After being rescued, Athena had surgery to amputate the rest of the leg. She was also heartworm positive and has completed her treatment. She is now happy, sweet, and loving. Her puppies all found homes and soon she will too.
This is what Dixie Adoptables does. Unfortunately we have countless heartbreaking stories just like hers and we want nothing more than to save every hungry, hurting, scared or sick animal in need. When they hurt, we hurt! We want to heal them inside and out!
You are the only way that we can do this. Dixie Adoptables relies completely on your donations to turn these tragedies into happy endings.
Here is an email from a recent adopter:
“Sal arrived yesterday afternoon and is settling in well so far. He likes making a pile of his toys but not actually doing anything with them yet He is so loved already, and we’re so thankful to Dixie Adoptables for sending him to us. I was basically sobbing when the transport ladies took my picture with him, I couldn’t control my emotions…”
When we receive comments like this, as we often do, we want to give more sweet animals their Happily Ever After! Your donations are making this happen!
Dixie Adoptables relies on donations to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals like Athena. Please donate today.
