New Walmart Program Makes it Easy to Donate!

Walmart has announced the creation of a new charity support program called Donate for Good which provides two new ways for you to help Dixie Adoptables when shopping online, and we are excited to tell you about them.

These new features make it easy for you to purchase items from our shopping list, and they will be shipped directly to us. You can also have the option of “rounding up” any online Walmart purchase to the next even dollar amount. The difference will be donated to Dixie Adoptables every time you check out.

Both of these options are available in your regular online Walmart shopping experience. The following overview shows you how to use the shopping lists and set up Rounding Up to donate:

Donate an item from our shopping list

Our online shopping list is always available and we update it regularly with our current needs. Using it is very easy. 

  1. Go to our shopping list (https://www.walmart.com/registry/RR/4d96f2e8-86cf-4123-abab-c4b61008c747). You may need to sign in to your Walmart account. 
  2. Find one or more items you would like to purchase for us and click “Add”. If you would like to purchase more than one of the items, click on the “+” next to the number of items selected and add more:



    NOTE: This works exactly like purchasing something online for yourself. 
  3. Go to your shopping cart:
  4. Find the donated item you put in your cart and select “Checkout”:

    NOTE: The shipping address for any items you are donating will be automatically set to Dixie Adoptables’ address.
  5. Finish the checkout process as you normally would. 

Congratulations! You just helped some animals!

Use “Round Up” to make a donation at checkout

Small donations can really add up. With the new Round Up to support Dixie Adoptables feature, you can donate every time you make a purchase!

  1. Go to the Dixie Adoptables “Round Up” site and click “Sign in to select this charity”:
  2. Sign in to your Walmart account. You will see a message showing that you are now supporting Dixie Adoptables with your Round Up donations: 
  3. That’s it! You’re all set up.

    NOTE: The previous two steps will only have to be completed once. From then on, you will have the option to round up your purchase at checkout:
  4. Remember to check the Round up and donate checkbox each time you check out and enjoy the great feeling of knowing you helped an animal.
